Step up your playground game with the PlayPod Pedestal. Whether ordering a short or a tall one, these steps can be arranged to create a series of challenging balance climbers for kids to navigate. Alternating colors and mixing up the arrangement can make the series as simple or as complex as your community needs. On the sides of each pedestal, there are molded handles that allow children to grab the sides as they balance themselves or pull themselves up. The PlayPod Pedestal works well with a new or existing playground design. It can be used to lead kids from one structure to the next. For more involved PlayPod Pedestal designs, check out the Compact PlayPod Maze and the Compact PlayPod Traverse.

When installing, the distance between stepping surface to stepping surface needs to be 12-inches or less (2 – 5 years) 18-inches or less (5 – 12 years). Use a tape measure to make a measurement from pedestal A’s edge to pedestal B’s edge on the sides closest to each other. This is important to make sure children can make the steps between pedestals.
