When installing, the distance between stepping surface to stepping surface needs to be 12-inches or less (2 – 5 years) 18-inches or less (5 – 12 years). Use a tape measure to make a measurement from pedestal A’s edge to pedestal B’s edge on the sides closest to each other. This is important to make sure children can make the steps between pedestals.
