Put a bit of aquatic inspired fun into your playground with the Stepping Turtles – Set of 5. Each of these glass fiber reinforced concrete steps is ready to lead children across. Their full 18-inch width is perfect for most children allowing for a fairly easy passage. For those that have already looked at the Tree Slices – Set of 5, the turtles would be considered a bit trickier. While the tree slices are flat, level surfaces, the turtles boast a slightly arched back. The curvature makes balancing more difficult. Another difference is that the turtles are completely uniform. Each little baby has the same head, tail, legs, and shell for children to find their balance on. While these sets can be used alone or in tandem with other stepping sets, they all provide plenty of stepping opportunities.
When installing, the distance between stepping surface to stepping surface needs to be 12-inches or less (2 – 5 years) 18-inches or less (5 – 12 years). Use a tape measure to make a measurement from tree slice A’s edge to tree slice B’s edge on the sides closest to each other. This is important to make sure children can make the steps between tree slices.
