It takes more than a person to raise a child which is why we offer the Villager play set. The large composite play structure combines everything from climbing to music. Starting at the ground level, children will enjoy serenading their friends with the chime panel with attached mallets. For especially adventurous friends, the whistle can be used to make a final punctuation to their melody or drown out the rest of their artistic efforts. As they play, another child can spin the BigWheel and yet another can explore nature at the small table with built in bowl. Under the structure, plenty of ground space is free for more traditional games. Once they are ready to ascend into the greater structure, there are five ways up. The most important is the transfer deck for inclusion. Other children can choose to take the vertical ladder, the inclined wall with hand holds, or one of the two PlayShell climbers. Once children are up to the upper levels they can play another set of chimes or cross the bridge to the maze panel. Finally they can head back down on the Single Slide or take the Double Slide with a friend.

When choosing a playground it is important to consider where the components have come from. Conditioned wood or recycled metal posts are both opportunities to take part in environmental stewardship. Wood was once a staple of playground design, but as time has continued, it has become less common. But, wood and natural materials make for natural learning environments that can be important for children’s development. Several teaching methods use nature and natural tools as ways to reach children. On the other hand, the recycled metal used comes from items that would otherwise rust away in dumps. The recycled plastic comes from specifically milk jugs. As Americans, we tend  to drink a large amount of milk every day. This results in millions of used milk contains every year. Even if the play set purchased only uses a few thousand of those milk jugs, its that many more that didn’t end up in a landfill. Your playground purchase can be part of the solution that limits waste.

Check out the Resort and the SS BigToy for two similar structures that exude the same feeling but are slightly smaller.
